I've been writing overly long papers in a deliberately obtuse style readable only by experts. After being suitably vetted by uncaring editors and referees who will read nothing more than the bibligraphies to make sure their own work is cited, said articles will be published in obscure journals, the subscriptions to which will be dropped by most academic libraries within the next year or so.
