The 2003 Web Cartoonists Choice Awards [ccawards.com] website is up and running, it looks like nominations start on May 4th.
Last year's awards were a bit of a 14-car pileup, I thought, what with all the backslapping and the cabals and inside dealings and such. Still, having them at all is a step in the right direction, and I'm hoping they've made some changes this year to make it more fair, or at least a bigger, more exciting disaster.
If you're a cartoonist, be sure to sign up and participate, as it doesn't look like anything better is coming along anytime soon.
