11-6-02 comic

The comic for Wednesday seems to be hiding from me. I go to the goats.com homepage and look under the navigation menu, but there I find only disappointment and confusion. Did I miss a memo?

It's hiding from me too. Maybe it moved to canada, and Jon hasn't linked to its new location yet.

It was on the homepage last night at midnight, but dark forces have apparently conspired to remove it since then. I blame Diablo.

Anyway, you can see it here [goats.com].

I'm seeing it just fine on both servers -- is it still missing for you? Are you seeing a big red X, or is it just on holiday with no indication of where it was?

Also, if you can tell us what browser, version and platform you're on, we might be able to track down the problem quicker.

In Response to jon (#2731):

I'm on NT4 using IE5.5. It hasn't been showing up at all; no red X or anything. Once today it did show up, but it seems to have disappeared again. Perhaps it's been detained at the border for photograph and fingerprint...

Also, a coworker of mine sees it fine on one machine (using IE5.5) but gets the same results as I'm getting on another; on the second machine (where he doesn't see the comic), if he uses Mozilla instead of IE5.5 he gets the alt text for the comic image.

That's all I know at the moment.

It's been working fine for me all day from IE 6 on NT4.

I'll check when I get home from IE 5 on OSX.

I see it, for now. I am using a Windows 2000 machine with IE 5.5 and was also using the same machine when it didn't appear earlier today.

how odd.

I cleared the caches on both machines, in case it was something funky with that...hopefully it will all go away....if you're still seeing it, let me know.
