I can't believe you all missed Phillip's 29th birthday this weekend. How truly insensitive you folks are.

We took him to a german beerhall [zumschneider.com] and filled him with Weihenstephaner for eight straight hours and gave him lego spaceships and books he already owns.

Where were you folks? For shame.

Here in Missouri, it became legal not too long ago to have gambling, as long as the casino is on water. The intent was that casino riverboats would be allowed, but casinos in fixed buildings would not. Now they produce small, man-made bodies of water and float casino barges on them, attached to large land-based complexes full of bars and stuff.

A new establishment of this sort opened in St. Charles. So we went there over the weekend to drink martinis ... er ... in honor of Philip's birthday.

Happy Birthday, Philip!

I arranged for roughly 5,000 people to drink beer [mhtg.org] in honor of Phillip's birthday.

Well, I tried.

You see, I had two problems with getting over to Philips' birthday:

1) I live on the other side of the continent.
2) I am poor.

But I was determined. I managed to walk my way from Vancouver, over the hills and valleys to Whistler. Unfortunately, by the time I hit Whistler I was too tired to continue, so I just turned back. Not to mention the fact that Whistler is north of Vancouver, which isn't exactly the fastest way to get to New York.
