wish list
posted Thursday, March 09, 2006 - 04:23 AM (#32975)

In the spirit of the new, improved Goats comic and site, here is my top seven wish list. (I couldn't come up with ten.)

1. Make Worlds of Peril accessible to everyone.
If someone started a poll over in the Premium Forum asking if WoP should remain a (former) premie perk or be shared with the unwashed masses, I predict that the latter option would rule the day. We are, after all, a generous bunch.

2. New link buttons.
I suspect I'm not the only one who thinks a Fineas link button would be awesome.

3. New wallpaper.
I don't have any particular requests, though.

4. New karma titles.
This was bandied about long ago [goats.com], but I think now's the time to revive the idea. "Cold War Supervillain" and "Sentient Citrus", for instance, are old Goats. We need new titles for the new Goats. Perhaps there could be an officially sanctioned contest with Fabulous Prizes for the Forum thrall who comes up with the best titles.

5. Lock and archive the Patent Pending Forum.
Unless casting for the film version [goats.com] is scheduled to begin soon.

6. Restore Lauren's bio.
Yeah, I know, neither she nor Megan [goats.com] will likely ever appear again, but let's have some parity here anyway. Besides, she's mentioned in Phillip's bio [goats.com].

7. The return of unFalln [goats.com].
Come on back! We had a great Finbarr Saunders-type act going where you would make an explicit remark [goats.com], and I would assume you meant something quite innocent [goats.com]. We had 'em rolling in the aisles.

Well, I certainly agree with 1-3. Particularly #1 because I'm not sure how else I would acquire WoP under the new system. Plus it always pleases me to get things for free.

#4 I'm pretty neutral towards, if only because in over 50 posts I've garnered a grand total of 8 Karma points. One time I managed to somehow earn a good 4 points in one day, but then the next day they were all suddenly gone, which was rather disheartening.

I think my wishlist would consist of:

1) Fineas-specific merchandise in the store.

2) The return of a link to MG3 on the main page.

3) A two-year long Gregor Mendel vs. Fineas story arch (complete with appropriate Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker references)

4) More Carl and Roger, coupled with the resurrection of Khan Jr. (After being resurrected Khan Jr. would, of course, want revenge)

5) More space battles.

New titles would be swell. Then I can aspire to be a Middle Pangaean.

My wish list is pretty short

1) "Next Newest Thread" and "Previous Thread" buttons.

And it also sounds like, unlike me, you expect some functionality behind that button.

I just want the buttons! ;-)
