Thursday Cliffhanger: 9 Feb

Diablo has voiced his doubts about Fineas' plan for finding Phillip. Naturally, Fineas will ask

POLL: Well, do you have a better idea, Diablo?

34% (9) Sure. Doesn't this glorified toaster have a record of everywhere it's been?

11% (3) Wouldn't it be easier just to get Gary Sinise to bring us some DNA from Phillip's place so that we can clone him? Just sprinkle a few cells in a Hefeweizen and we'll have a programmer in no time.

0% (0) Let's just toss a cell phone through a static portal and then call Oliver. Maybe a chartreuse Nokia; they're quite attractive. If you're still mad at him, we can get him a plan that charges for incoming calls. Better not get him caller ID, though.

26% (7) Can this thing move in time as well as space? Let's go forward to some time when we've already found him and then bring him back here. Then our finding him will really happen, so there won't be none of them paradox thingies.

26% (7) Just leave a transdimensional trail of Hefeweizens. We can wait for him in the Disney Dimension. Except we can skip Pirates of the Caribbean. It sucks now that they removed the pirate who chases the wench. That was my favorite part. "Yo ho, yo ho..."

I went with the last option, though the first seemed most in character for Diablo to say. The second one almost had me, but the Gary Sinise reference sort of scared me away. He can be sort of...creepy, y'know?

Oh, wait. Don't ask me why, but I was thinking of Steve Buscemi [imdb.com]. Sorry--definitely pathetic.

Still not sure why he's in option 2, but he's not creepy.

Am I going to get modded down by rabid fans now?

Still not sure why he's in option 2...

He has showed up in the strip [goats.com] before [goats.com]. Check out his regular TV gig [cbs.com] to see why.

Maybe he'll make an appearance the next time Phillip takes over the strip.

I just flashed on an image of what "Infinite Typewriters" would have been like on post-it notes. I have go lie down for a while.

I surmise that some sort of quantum computer would be needed to control that singularity. As such, numbers could be actually random (or at least unreseedable), no?

I'll bite.

I don't see any teddy bears anywhere...

Could be. Depends on how lazy the programmer was, whether he decided to use Math::Quantum::Rand or just use the language standard rand().

i figured that it would be more obfuscated than that... like FORTRAN.
