I'm confused. So Phillip and Jon had been in the pub for 14 days before Jon's epiphany?

You mean, the whole "31.8 years" thing?

I think that was Jon's age. Point being, he should have figured that out years ago.

And with Phillip's mention of Megan, it seems that Jon has forgotten that strip too.

(Somehow it's odd to reply to something that real Jon wrote about comic-strip Jon. I think that would qualify as postmodern. Perhaps even meta.)

If Gus and Steve are writing [goats.com] this why don't Diablo and Fish/Fineas go find Oliver's author and edit the "story" so Oliver is nice and rescues them?

As I type this I see the loophole which Jon will use. Who can guess it before Jon mentions it...

Infinite typewriters, remember? Good luck finding the right monkey before the little evil one's plan is complete.

If they find Diablo's typewriter, however, things could get a little strange. Possibly even to the extent of producing the fabled metachickens.

Now I'm not sure what typewriter Euan is referring to, but I'm excited that he's now voiced what I've been wondering about--to what extent the plot is about to wrap into Worlds of Peril. (Apologies to the non-Premium members who don't read Worlds of Peril, as the next few paragraphs may make little sense. But it's worth going premium--really!)

I say "to what extent" rather than "if" because the Fish/Fineas boundary has clearly been crossed. In Worlds of Peril, the crew has ended up int eh Peculier (and now, so have beefnuts), with Siobain referring to Fineas as Fish and referencing past strips. Toothgnip now looks like the Hairy Despot.

Obviously, lots would have to happen to make the two strips really converge, including Neil and Bob getting rather funky-looking and Diablo getting Meta. But Jon DID say that he was thinking of making things batshit [goats.com] insane, and this might be an interesting way to do it...

I just got to say that you seem to have a poor misunderstanding of "infinite".

There are an infinite number of worlds where Worlds of Peril actually do intersect with Goats.

There are an infinite number of worlds where Worlds of Peril actually do intersect with Goats, but Oliver is taupe, rather than yellow.

There are an infinite number of an infinite number of worlds where everything that has happened so far has happened, and do not lead to Worlds of Peril that intersect with Goats.

There are an infinite number of worlds where this [goats.com] was in fact the end...

There are an infinite number of worlds in which everything that has happened has been recorded by Gus and Steve, and been a pure matter of coincidence.

There are an infinite number of worlds in which everything that has happened has happened because Gus and Steve typed it.

Jon will do as Jon will do. And you should donate [goats.com] more.
