Semi-Official DC-Area Pub Night Go!
posted Friday, August 12, 2005 - 04:21 PM (#28818)
Zammy and I will be meeting for beer in Bethesda this Thursday, 18 August. Say, 5:30-ish. All/sundry welcome. Make your way to Flanagan's on Olde Georgetowne Roade, between the parking deck and the Woodmont Triangle intersection (where all the streets suddenly become one-way facing you).

We'll the two geeky guys waving our nerd cred all over the place. Try not to get any on you.

I swear, one of these days I'm going to find Zamphir as he sleeps and attach a moustache to his face with industrial adhesives.

And if he's very lucky, I won't plaster it in some random location.

Unfortunately, I'm a good 3 hours from Maryland, so I don't see myself making it. Slipping out of work at 2:30 pm to meets someone for drinks is not something I'm going to get away with.

There are slightly more than 24 regulation-sized hours to go before the SODCAPN. General directions above, or feel free to call Zamphir at home. If his wife answers, be sure to ask for "Snuggles".

Why would they do that?

"Snuggles" would already be on the phone with them.

It's Thursday evening--you're all probably still drinking. Forum dwellers hold their collective breath in anticipation of what may happen. The suspense! The excitement!

If only there were live feed...I went to www.sungglescam.com, but that didn't seem to be it.

Zamphir and I are dismayed that none of you "fine" "people" showed up for the SODCAPN. There was tomfoolery, plus skylarking, and even capers. Plus moustachery. Lots and lots of moustachery.

Some of us, in addition to living an hour and a half away from the planned pub, have work in the morning and are underage besides.

I'll probably be at SPX though.

I'm clean shaven. Gary's the one with the moustache, and thus the only one who could participate in moustachery.

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
