Jon Rosenberg didn't give me comic strips. I'm just saying. [websnark.com] (you gotta scroll about five full screens down)

My goodness, Jon! You meet a guy for the first time, with whom you have no prior personal relationship, and you fail to give him merchandise instead of selling it to a willing buyer.

For shame. No wonder he's got a Phillip-centric worldview.

You know...I never look at that site until someone here posts about it. Why do any of you read it? I'm full of not caring what he thinks.

I think it is for the same reason that reality television does so well.

Haha. I hadn't considered that. I must admit I do not watch television nor do I even have one. The only exception to this is BSG [scifi.com]. I go to a friend's place to watch it.

I'm not particularly interested in most of his discussions. However, he frequently mentions webcomics which i either have not yet discovered or have not yet taken the time to read. So he has introduced me to a few new items, and that makes it worthwhile (for me) to check Websnark occasionally.

Ahh. That is interesting. I already spend too much time reading webcomics, so I certainly don't want to find more! Fortunately, 20 minute compile times give me enough 'free time' to read the few that I do.

It occurs to me ... Eric Burns has many strips that he frequently mentions, and yet his entire disappointment is directed at Jon. This reminds me of the behavior where young children on the playground express personal attraction by punching the objects of their affection in order to receive attention.

Under this model, you're his very favorite creator, Jon! And one day, you and Phillip can visit him to talk about webcomics, and have all the pizza and ice cream and bacon you want, and you can stay over at his house, and it won't be creepy at all.

He'll have to get in line.

From shaenon, further down:

Oh, you're just angling for Goats art.

I suspect he picked a name which he knew could take a joke.

I think I read websnark for the same reason I buy books by their weight at the airport - when I'm bored, I prioritise quantity over all else. And every now and then he mentions Achewood, which is cool.

Plus, sometimes there are cat fights in the comments.
