Actually, I was just thinking that Jerrell fits in remarkably well with the Peanuts universe. His fixed, frantic expression is very Schulz-ian.

I'm pretty sure the MP3 player was tacked on without any reconcilliation with the acronym. Much like an MP3 player is tacked on just about every new electronic device out there. The MP3 player has become the FM radio of the 80's-90's in its ubequity and useless convergance.
