Diablo contradiction?

Okay... Two things here.

Diablo can't remember anything before 1997 [goats.com]...

Diablo ripped out his "father's" entrails on his third birthday. Either he was lying about the whole 1997 thing, or he ripped out the entrails in say, 2000. Or maybe he just knew when it was his third birthday, and his third birthday was in 1998 or so. But then he'd still be lying about 1997.

I present this mystery to you.

It's not a mystery, you're just not reading [goats.com] very closely. Check the first sentence in the first panel.

I was just assuming it was another of Diablo's insane stories that he seemingly makes up on the spot, but now that Jon has said what he did, it makes me think that this story may in fact be "real".

How old is Diablo anyway?

Looks like my Extra Stupid is contagious.

Wednesday's strip says Diablo was hatched in 1986.

Which means he turns 18 sometime this year. (hastily double-checks simple arithmatic with pen&paper and calculator).

Good thing he lives in New York. Otherwise, he'd be driving by now!

Well, if they stopped allowing anthropomorphic livestock to walk into bars and have humorous dialog with the staff and customers it would seriously limit joke writers worldwide.

All they would have left for material is the clergy, blondes, celebrity scandal, and people with improbably sized genitalia.

Cloning Diablo a billion times? Haven't we discussed this before [goats.com]?

Now, while the first contradiction of Diablo's past has been easily explained away, now we find that jon's calculation of chicken humor has undergone some revision in the past 6 years and 1 week.

It seems a little premature to be deciding that Diablo will actually get cloned a billion times.

So there's nothing to support Jon changing his chicken humor calculations.

Maybe on Wednesday, things will be different.

It's also not clear how many of Diablo's siblings will actually survive to the same age as our boy. We know that a few do, including Pablo. But exactly how many is hard to say.

Besides which, Diablo could be intending to clone himself as a means of personal empowerment. It's said that if you consume the heart of your enemy, you gain his strength. So exactly how strong do you get if you consume a billion of your own cloned hearts?

And when exactly is the whole series of Twix sagas supposed to happen?

The last one happened after Fish was killed and resurected, but before that?

Diablo is a contridiction.

Was just reading through the archives today, and I got to the ones about Stan. I wonder if we're going to see him anywhere in the current storyline. After all, Diablo has to meet him some time before he meets Jon & Philip and everyone, to turn him on to the whole satanism thing. Right now, it's obvious that he was a hellraiser as a youth, but I doubt that he becomes a "full-blown" satanist until he meets Stan (not that he really is anyway).
