Wanna get Exposed? Then click here, true believers.

Ex · po · sure (ik-spo-zher) n. 1. To expose to the action of light. 2. To make known or visible, as if to a person. 3. The best damn film festival in New York City.

Welcome to EXPOSURE.

Yellow Kitchen Productions is proud to present the first exhibition of an annual series of new and revolutionary cinema by emerging artists from across the world and we want you, the genius and the unknown, to submit your work for viewing.

We are not a theme or concept-constricted festival. All we ask for is brilliant writing, brilliant performances, and brilliant direction ? radical and engaging short films that challenge and attack the status quo of Hollywood expectorant mediocrity.

We deny that short film is a dying art form.

We deny that short film is only for grad school assignments.

We deny that short film is merely a vehicle to gain a feature-length movie deal.

We deny that the Hollywood media machine can quench the public's thirst for fresh and innovative film.

The intention of this festival is not only to showcase flourishing new talent, but also to create and foster an enduring community of directors, actors, and writers, as well as cinematographers, sound, and production designers. More than just another film festival, EXPOSURE is a cross-pollinating open forum for the next generation of great filmmakers, where they can meet, build contacts and exchange ideas and opinions about their art form

We want to create an alternative to the corporate mentality of filmmaking and we want YOU to be a part of it.

For more informations about the festival and the downloadable submissions form, please visit out website, www.yellowkitchenproductions.org

Get Exposed, May 2003.

Ahhh! Why oh why did this come now? I have a short in preproduction (Read scripting, finding money, talking my talent down from heroin benges). Oh well maybe next year.

Only possibly for me though. I have 60 to 90K worth of equipment to find funding for. That means that I need to do a couple of paying gigs before I can do something purely fun. I've got 2 documentaries in the works. Packaging and then funding. If that works out "Stream of Conscience Theatre" might see the light of day.

One thing that the site doesn't mention... how many shorts will be picked?

Sounds interesting. Being a Canadian, I don't know if I'd apply for all this hullaballo, though. Can non-Yanks get involved?

Ideally, Exposure will become a world film festival - you can start the trend!

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
