Ladies, You Had Your Chance

This Sunday at 4:30pm, I'll be marrying a girl whom I have known for twenty years. Let it never be said that persistence doesn't pay. I've arranged for much beer and single-malt scotch, my tux is tailored, and the girl has agreed to show up, so everything is pretty much set.

The thing I'm really looking forward to is the honeymoon, for the obvious reasons, and also because I haven't had a real vacation in about two years. Wedding planning is draining as hell, and making sure that Goats would run smoothly in my absence has been a special challenge. Goats strips (and Ask The Animals) are complete through the end of the month, so there will be no interruption in our regularly scheduled broadcasts. There are some fun strips coming up (at least, they were fun for me to draw), and I've got some surprises planned as well.

I'll be gone until the 29th or so, and I won't be responding to email, or forum postings, or really anything other than my new wife and anyone who brings me free drinks at the resort we're staying at. If you need anything, don't hesitate to contact Phillip and bug him incessantly.

So, that's about it. Have fun, and I'll see you in a couple of weeks.

Do have fun on your honeymoon. That must have been quite a push to get all of our SPEYs out, advance the strip by such a buffer AND plan your wedding.

Jon The real question is when will the real Mrs Goats start getting jealous of Mrs Megan Goats? Congrats. You'll have to let me know how it goes because, sadly (unless my Fiancee is reading this - the substitute the word "sadly" for "joyfully"), I will be joining you in this institution of bliss and happiness, and marriage... BTW - remember that introducing children always makes a show jump the shark [jumptheshark.com] - look at Friends, or Brooke Shields - oh wait she IS the shark... Speaking of, has there ever been a worse show than "Good Morning, Miami?" I thought Will and Grace was on before that show. Just don't replace Scott Baio with Ted McGinley and I think we can weather through this. Ciao Jason

Congratulations, Jon. If you're having a limo take you from the ceremony to the reception, tell the limo driver to just drive around for a while. It's the only time you and your wife will have to yourselves all day.
