Goodbye, Fish

Monday, December 16, 2002 - 08:55 PM

For obvious reasons, I'm going to be discontinuing the line of Fish merchandise on December 25th. If you want a memento, now's your last chance.

For those of you who have written in with heartfelt concern over Fish's demise, please do not be sad. Fish's death is going to kick off a string of events that will have repercussions for months to come. It was a difficult decision to make, but I think it wil be for the best in the end. All I ask of you that is you be patient as our story unfolds.

I'm sad to see Fish go.

In terms of continuity, will Fish still be available to answer our 'Ask the Animals' queries? Will we be able to 'Ask the Ghost Fish' our urgent questions?

I'm sorry to ask such a selfish question during this time of mourning, I'll just miss him so much!

Yes, but will it be replaced by a new line with the slogan "I Die in Beer"?

I think an interesting t-shirt to come out (no pun intended) of the "a many splendored thing" series, would be, "My lover went to the Disney dimension and all I got was rectal prolapse."

Maybe it's just me...

Eleven.

The bulk of the sketches were Toothgnip, Diablo and Neil and Bob. N&B were a pain to do, twice as much work for each, which, I suspect, is why people picked them.

Some of the Diablo sketches got kinda weird.

Aha! That's the truth!

Fish wasn't popular enough! He wasn't moving enough merchandise, he wasn't generating enough super-premie picture requests!

Look out Toothgnip. One small dip in your Rosenberg ratings could be.... fatal....! And I don't want to hear any whinging about 'how could he call it Goats without a goat?'! It's already plural when the goat is singular, so get over it!

Maybe that's what's to come right there... fish's beer! Uncle Disgusting's Goldfish Brew, the latest and greatest from brewmeister Karlsson and crew. Will it be available from CafePress though? I think there's legality issues with the online sale of alcohol, story-line related or otherwise.

Fish flavoured beer would be preferable to some of the other things they try to put in it anyways. And, the perfect drink to enjoy with Tastes Like Chicken candy bars!
