A Brief History Of The Pub Stub And Other Goats Matters

Monday, April 30, 2007 - 02:43 PM

There's a short FAQ-like explanation of gray skin and pub-stubbery over at my livejournal today, for those of you into the finer geekery of such things.

Also, you all remember when you first met the infinite monkeys, right?

Also also, in today's strip Fish seems a bit more aggressive than usual, wouldn't you agree?

Yeah, but can he bounce blaster-shot off his fins?

I was going to mention Fish's Fineas-esque bit of Darth dialogue, there. Hmmm. Could that repressed violent streak involving tiny dogs, and Kissinger be coming out?

I hope like hell Kissinger doesn't come out.

I'd think you'd always celebrate someone coming out.

(yes, I know. I fell for it.)

Yes, indeed it seems to be that aggressiveness coming out. Curious that it is the same line delivered to Reese by Fineas.

Or maybe they did swap some bits over their personalities and now Fish now has some Fineas properties!

Even more interesting is that if I remember correctly, Toothgnip offered a variation on this line waaay back around the beginning of the current story. (I'd search for relevant linkage, but I'm at work and terrifyingly sober.) Perhaps a running gag of some kind is at work here?

I'm not sure that I recall Toothie saying that. If you or someone can find the link, I'd be most interested to read it.
