ICON was, as always, a seething cauldron of bizarre and mildly unnerving personal interactions. I could never invent characters as strange as the ones we met this weekend, as you can see from Steven's Flickr photoset. Jeff's account of the events is eerily accurate in every detail.
Thanks to all the ICON staff and food service folks who made the weekend such a pain-free occasion. These folks are true professionals who know how to handle the grousing of dozens of guests with inflated egoes and poor impulse control.
REMINDERS: We're still taking pre-orders for Corndog and Fox Lies Constantly shirts through Friday the 30th; this will be your only chance to get the Corndog shirt, I'll be removing it from the store after Friday. The fate of Fox Lies has not yet been decided.
Oh, also, don't forget, this Saturday at 3pm we'll be at the Peculier Pub celebrating ten years of Goats with $3 pints and drinks. Hope to see you there!

as usual i passed your booth on the one day i actually went this year, and pointed out a few tshirts that i already owned, and the diablo figure thats been sitting on my shelf since you so nicely shipped to me! i probably should have picked up some wigu stuff, but my friends were makin me run around everywhere
The Sydney thing is still on. Or at least, it can be. There is some sort of party at a mate's house (who is also a reader) but if there are takers we may move to a pub and celebrate there. Or you could just come to Matt's place. Everyone else does.
Note: If we're going to a pub, it's either going to be one near Cremorne or in the city. Maybe the Abercrombie?
