Evil Chickens Don't Kiss Paperbacks Now Available

Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 01:49 PM

Evil Chickens Don't Kiss, the third volume of Goats: The Comic Strip, is now available in paperback through our brand-new store. Yay! Please buy a copy. We also still have plenty of copies of the limited edition hardcovers left, so feel free to purchase a copy of that as well.

To celebrate the launch of the book and the store, we're offering the new paperback book along with the old (but still quite good) paperback book in a discounted book bundle -- buy both books and save yourself three bucks (or, as some pedants would have you believe, $2.95).

If you take a stroll through the redesigned merchandise pages, not only will you find that it's easier to make your way around, but you may also find a sale-priced item or two -- jerseys, women's tank tops and more are all selling at a discount for a limited time.

UPDATE: Not only can you buy Goats books directly from us, you can also buy them from Plan 9 Publishing, publishers of fine titles from comic strips such as Greystone Inn and Nukees.

actually, you don't save 3 bucks, you save $2.95, since everything's selling for $XX.95. Of course, that doesn't take tax into account, but since i live in CA, it doesn't apply to me.

They're coming. Eventually.

The problem with doing posters is that they're really big. If I just used the same images that I've been using for other merchandise, the posters would be extremely low-resolution and look very, very horrible.

That means that I've got to rescan and recolor many of the images at higher resolutions. That also requires a lot of time. What I'll probably do is add the poster designs into the store slowly, one by one, as I get the chance to go back and work on them. Also, as we add new designs, I'll be sure to make poster-quality art when the original designs are being worked on.

It may take a while, so don't hold your breath.

No problem; I want them up and available as much as you do. Time management has become a very thorny issue over the last few months, though -- there's so much cool stuff I want to do for Goats, but I just don't have the time.

I love the new merchandise, and I definitely need to get some coasters. My husband and I would both like to purchase the insulated lunch bags in theory. However, that bright yellow color is just too, well, bright. I suppose there's no chance of there being another color option (maybe in the future)...

The workers may control the means of production, but CafePress controls the selection of merchandise. You can feel free to make your suggestions [cafeshops.com] to them.

While our lunchbags only come in yellow, please keep in mind that our books [cafeshops.com] come in a selection of red and green, and are insulated with the warmth of hundreds of humorous cartoons. Buy one today; we only have about a zillion left.
