Well, kids, it was fun while it lasted, but Big Corporate Money has caught up with us at last. Despite the First Amendment's wonderful protection of parody, sometimes having millions of dollars and a hefty legal department can overcome such constitutional technicalities. That being said,
Hershey's has sent a Cease and Desist letter ordering us to remove the
Jesus' Peanut Butter Cups merchandise from the site. As of right now, it's coming down on August 18, so you may want to snatch up a mug or a t-shirt before then.
If anyone out there is well versed on these sorts of legal issues, I'd appreciate any advice you may have. I'll be sure to update you if there are any new developments, and more details will follow.
