POLL: 2000 Strips

Monday, November 27, 2006 - 05:43 AM

By some cosmic coincidence, the 2000th Goats comic strip falls on my 33rd birthday, which I decided to celebrate by drawing all night until my hands can't move anymore. This is a test of what will probably end up being team Force Alpha, my long-delayed journal comic. I am going to bed now, please enjoy fresh and delicious comic product in the traditional style.

POLL: Favorite bit of fan service:

42% (944) Good Hitler

26% (576) Reese

9% (210) Megagamerz

7% (175) Sporkles

11% (250) Monkeys

2% (58) GWB
2213 people have voted in this poll. (This poll is not active.)

My fave bit was the Reese service, actually. I laughed out loud at that...

(But then I'm a dirty old 33-year-old myself.)

My vote goes for Reese as well--though her new single status somehow makes it less exciting than when she was married. Does that make me a sicko, or just a typical American male? And why the hell am I asking questions like that here anyway?

Never mind. Happy Birthday, Jon, and happy 2000th comic.

I can't seem to edit the original post to add this, but if you don't know Hoggle, you should go rent Labyrinth [youtube.com]. Now.

Hey, neat. Today is my birthday too. I'm 30, and celebrating by being up early and fixing software related emergencies at my employer's office on my day off, before I'd normally even have to be there. Yay me.

Here's to us, Jon. *picks up a bottle of cough syrup* *clink!*

Congrats on your 2000th strip and 33rd birthday! If I were to draw a strip everyday from now until 33 (I'm currently 26), I could probably hit 2000 too.

There's just one problem...I can't draw worth a crap...or write...or have the ambition to draw more than 2 strips...or have the money to set up a web server. Egads, my life is awful! Would you mind sharing some of your cough syrup with me :)

I'm not sure whether to vote for Good Hitler or the Monkeys. I like the Monkeys more, but I think Good Hitler was a better idea. GAH!! That's insignificant! Happy Birthday, and thank you for 2,000 moments (if a moment is defined as several hours) of your time.
