Hey I checked out the space demon. It looks like a chopped off pokeball. Look out Nintendo might sue too! sheesh.
Rich Stevens has run afoul of the Antipiracy division of Lucasarts with several of his super-amazing t-shirt riffs on Star Wars. Congrats, Rich!
There's nothing more hypocritical than a guy who makes his money from a series of films based on Joseph Campbell and Kurosawa to go sue someone else creating derivative works. All art comes from those who come before us, the best we can hope to do is put an original spin on things.
What it all boils down to is that you should go buy Chewie Is My Co-Pilot before you can't anymore. This is a t-shirt that Peter Mayhew's wife owns. How can something so right possibly be wrong?
Also, how many pixels do you have to remove before this no longer violates Lucas' intellectual property? Two? Three? All of them? If it turns out Lucas owns all the pixels I'll be screwed. I use pixels all the time.
Rich helped me ship out the Diablo acton figures last week, forging my signature on customs forms and committing various other felonies. If you've gotten yours, feel free to post your pics to this thread or email 'em to me at jon at goats dot com.
