Diablo Action FIgures Are On Their Way

Friday, October 20, 2006 - 12:51 PM

Whew! I just spent the last 24 hours signing, bubblewrapping and boxing about 300 Diablo action figures. Mailman X came and picked them up in two huge carts (not entirely dissimilar from the minecart Indy rode in to escape from the Thuggee cultists). They are now winging their way around the world to all you good boys and girls.

For technical reasons (very technical, I assure you) I am not sending out confirmation emails or tracking emails for these, but if you have not received yours within a week (allow an extra week or two if you live in a foreign country) let me know and we can look into it.

I have a bit of bad news for you, however. Those of you who ordered the Signed Glow-Skull edition are going to have to wait a bit longer for the glow skulls. 200 cases of action figures showed up at the Dumbrella warehouse, but after opening every single box it appears that the Glow Skulls were not included in the shipment.

We are shipping the action figures now, since you have been patiently waiting for quite a few months already, and we will ship the Glow Skulls separately when we are able to sort things out with the manufacturer in Hong Kong. The initial shipment of figures took several months to reach us and I imagine that it will also take a similar amount of time to receive the replacement glow skulls, so I ask for your patience and understanding while we get this problem taken care of.

For now, I can only offer you my sincere apologies; no one is more disappointed in this turn of events than I am. I have included a couple of free stickers with each figure to ease the pain somewhat. In the meantime, if this is problematic for you or if you have any concerns, please email me at jon at goats dot com (or use the handy contact form linked in the footer of this page) and I will do my best to take care of you.

Enjoy your action figures!

So how long did you build forts out of all the boxes before signing and shipping them?

Hippy Bathday! Missed you for a whole month. So your age will soon be palindromic?

Is there any particularly vital Goats merchandise missing from your life? What sort of Goats gear do you think makes the most fantastic sort of Birthday/Holiday/Whimsyday gift? I was tempted to order a "Do Not Eat This Shirt" for a friend, but then i wondered whether people really need to read most of these comics in order to understand the jokes. I suppose quite a few of the shirts do a good job as "standalone" items.

I was reading, just didn't have much to say.

The satanic chicken is on my desk now, though - I spent a gleeful forty-five minutes over my lunch break giggling rather maniacally and admiring it in the packaging.

Although apparently the satanic whoopee cushion - when viewed in the box by an outside observer - could be mistaken for a human heart. Or possibly my resident Jew is just not always very bright.

And does 22 count as a palindrome? It shouldn't - it's like calling 1 a prime number, it just doesn't meet enough of the criteria.

That being said... I adore the 'Wishes are Unstoppable' line but the weather lately suggests that t-shirts are possibly not the wisest outfits. Which does not stop me thinking that a unicorn riding a motorbike is awesome. But most of the Goats shirts are funny irrespective of the comic - and plenty have no actual relevance whatsoever, as for example the aforementioned unicorn on a motorbike, or the Kwisatz Haderach (which is in line to be a birthday present for someone else - dating a Jewish Dune fan makes it too appealing not to).

The action figures are freaking amazing, mister Jon.

It just so happens that I wore my "Xibalba is for lovers" shirt today.

I think I can sense Goats related merchandise in the mail.

Thank you for making such awesome action figures!

Yeah, but then nobody can admire the glory that is the shirt.

Plus, sadly, work dress code really only lets me wear t-shirts two days out of seven.

Woot, mine just arrived. I think this is when all the Canadians who have ordered might be getting theirs.

Diablo's head is now sitting on top of my monitor, next to a Nacho Libre bobblehead ;p

My box says "It's a dessert topping!" Oddly enough, the dog did chew up the shipping box...
