It's Hard Out There For A Pimpage

Chris Hastings of Dr. McNinja tracked me down at Andy's show last week to challenge me to a contest of wills (and some very hard shoulder-punching). Now that my arm has healed I can type again! The Adventures of Dr. McNinja has turkeys and raptors and pirates and ninjas and caves. It is also hysterical.
Lore has a new blog, which is just what we needed! I still had five minutes of productive time a day, so thankfully that's been taken care of. Table of Malcontents is generously peppered with webcomics links and other assorted link-based fun.

Whoah. I knew Indiana had time zone "issues", but I didn't know that some parts of the state were still living in 1996... 56k? what?

my rural setting requires that i pay for an antenna that is erected on the top of my home with a $200 setup fee (minimal) and a monthly bill of $60+ for marginal service at best. It sucks and that's part of the reason that i will be moving in 2 months (at least).

Yeah. Indiana really sucks. I have more storage space on my yahoo acct. than on my home broadband acct. What really gets me is I get faster, more stable connections on campus during peak hours than I did back home. And the best part? People can't seem to grasp why young adults are leaving the state after college.

i would assume we are leaving due to the lack of an educated labor market than for broadband storage though.

I miss the Brunching Shuttlecocks and all those Ratings, but it's nice to see the Lore Brand Comics are still occasionally being produced.

Australia actually did an efficiency study and found that implementing punctuation would cut too heavily into their beer drinking time.
