Space Wizards: They Love To Fight

Monday, March 13, 2006 - 11:41 AM

Look out! There may be a SPACE WIZARD nearby. They're from space. And they like to fight a lot. Let people know about the SPACE WIZARD menace with this fabulous new t-shirt.

For the first time, we're offering a new t-shirt in eight different varieties! You can purchase either the Chocolate Ecstacy or Navy Gravy flavors, on a men's shirt or ladies babydoll style. And if you're a fan of American Apparel t-shirts, well, we've got those too. If these sell well we'll consider offering some of our other designs in American Apparel also.

These will be available for two weeks, pre-order-style until Friday, March 24th, when we'll tally everything up and put in the order for printing. Please allow a few extra weeks for delivery for your t-shirt since this is a pre-order.

Oh, and here's the original comic strip the shirt was based on.

Would there be any interest in a limited print edition of this design, like we did for the Infinite Monkeys print?

however, i saw into a future conversation when someone saw me looking at the site and stated, "I don't remember that part from any of the Lord of the Rings. Is that a new one?" i definitely have to move now.

If the Space Wizards design is ever modified and re-released in the future, without the part about loving to fight, i would definitely buy one of each color for myself, and probably some for friends. But this design, although an excellent Goats.com t-shirt for many people, just isn't exactly my cup of space tea.

Somehow i feel like nothing will ever surpass my Crab Accountant Private Detective on a HotWired HoverDachshund. I love when people ask me what it is... and i tell them... and of course they furrow their brows as though i'm babbling in a strange esoteric cant. I probably am.

I don't think that wearing the shirt tacitly endorses violence. The shirt merely declares the preferences of Space Wizards without judging their predilections.

But if that doesn't work, just get a Sharpie and cross off 'ght' and write 'st' right above it.

I'm not really sure how i feel about intentionally defacing Jon's design-- an obliteration isn't the same thing as an excerpt. Maybe you could make such alterations on one of those shirts, wear it for everyone to see, and let us know if you enjoy it. For now, i'll stick with the six or seven other Goats t-shirts i currently wear in their original forms.

You could be correct. And just so you know i'm really not trying to be a dickhead, i will gladly buy you a Space Wizards t-shirt, even if you wish to wear it unaltered. And if you prefer a different garment instead, i'll get you one. I was totally interested in supporting Jon with some acquisition of merchandise, i just didn't care for that by-line. But if you like it (or you like something else more), please let me know.

I have the [probably] unique distinction of being asked what the hoverdachshund was by Wendy at breakfast with the princesses in Disney World.

"What an odd thing. What is that?" is very amusing to hear by a character actor in a fake British accent.

Disney seems to operate under the following definition of princess:

* Disney character who is the female lead.

Mary Poppins was also there, though she was the ugliest Mary Poppins we'd ever seen. She was built like a man and covered in seven gallons of makeup.

Blue is cool, as in "Navy Gravy" cool. Please check your e-mail.

Deerboy: if you desire Space Wizards (as opposed to some other item), please let me know at your earliest convenience because they're only available for another day and a half. Also, please e-mail me and/or Jon concerning size, selection, and shipping. Thank you very much.

Oooh... now i see the ingredient missing from my recipe. I need to add a dash of subversion, then the free stuff will flow. All this time, i was being way too obvious.
