A Short Delay

So I managed to hit three art stores in Manhattan this evening, walking briskly between each, exactly at their respective closing times. I was denied entry into each by stern employees brandishing an oversized keyring, even after it was explained to them that this was an Art Emergency. Alas, there was little sympathy for my plight, and I was turned away into the night without the pad of Bristol Smooth and the Pigma Micron 05 that I need to do tomorrow's comic strip. The confluence of the timing of each store's closing and the simultaneous need for both paper and pens on the same day leads me to believe there was some sort of Intelligent Designer influencing events. Such bad luck could not have occurred through the traditional Darwinian forces, and could only be the product of a malevolent supernatural entity.

So, no strip for Thursday morning. But I'll try to get it up by the afternoon after a daytime raid on the shelves of Pearl Paint. Promise. It'll be worth the wait.

Any of you know of a good 24-hour (or late nite) art supply store in NYC? Preferably between 34th and Houston, but I'll take what I can get.

UPDATE: Patient Reader, your comic is now up and available for reading.
