And actually take the chance of seeing any of you in person? I think not.

It is called 'the Research Triangle', consisting of three cities(/towns) each hosting a major university, and overall hosting over 1 million peops. Really, no part is farther than 30 miles apart, and despite what people say, traffic ain't that bad yet. But, as you could guess, the sprawl is quite amazing. Especially as there is zone in the middle called 'Research Triangle Park', a low-tax island at least 10 minutes from anybody's house that houses the major industries.

Tynic, what are you doing around here? Playing with your robots?

And what is this whining about a 25% increase in the price of gas? If you work out how much it costs to run a car, it is only about a 10% increase in the cost of driving. If your budget is that close, time to find a night job.

Sorry for the Raleigh confusion... down here RTP is all the same place:).

I'm going to skip sarcastic comments about how I do actually know quite a bit - for a damn yankee - about the R/D/CH area. Although a cursory glance at the link I posted would have suggested that much of what you said was immediately obvious...

Also, I regularly commute 35 miles each way most days, so I know how close or far that is...

And I think that only two of those cities actually host a "major" university... (duke still sucks).

In transliterations from the original Egyptian, the word is spelled 'pwfw.' How the Greeks transformed this into 'peops' is still something of a mystery.

Something along those lines. Self-sabotaging my budding career in aeronautics, hopefully.

You probably want to go a little bit more to the east to start a career in aeronautics. It worked for some dudes from Ohio, to be sute.
