MoCCA Reminder + Diablo Action Figure Prototype

Just a reminder that the MoCCA Art Festival is this weekend here in NYC. We'll be there with Andy and Rich at the Dumbrella table.

We'll have some shirts, lots of books and minis and such for you to buy, and most importantly we'll have this sweet prototype on display:


We should have action figures ready to ship by the fall, if all goes well. So come check it out. More pics inside.

No magnets, but the head is removable. Kinda had to be, really.

If all goes well there will even be a little bit of blood-red paint on the inside of the neck (and the little attaching knob will be left white, like a bit of protruding spinal cord).

Neat. So, what scale are we looking at here? If I had to guess, I'd say that the spraypaint circle on the cardboard is about the size of a quarter, which would make the prototype about 3 inches tall maybe?

It's smallish, but I wanted to keep it in scale with later figures which would theoretically be taller -- aliens at 5" or 6", humans at 7", killer robots as high as 8".

This assumes you all buy one, of course. Otherwise I'm going to have to sell off all my livers.

I was privileged to see the action figure at MoCCA, and I can sum it up in one word: AWESOME. I will pay any amount that Jon charges for one of these, and I haven't even seen the oversized novelty bacon yet.
