Phillip and I will be appearing at the January 14th meeting of the
Cartoonist Alliance meeting here in Manhattan. The meeting is open to any of you that would like to attend. We'll be speaking about the economics of webcomics and the process of putting together our new printed collection (soon to be available on this very website), along with anything else you'd like to chat about.
The meeting is at the MoCCA offices and gallery at 32 Union Square East, 6th floor. Even if you don't want to talk with us, I have heard rumors of there being free beer, so it might be worth your time to show up. We'll also have free copies of our new minicomic available for you.
If you're planning on attending, please send an email to Denise Ozker (ozker5 at earthlink.net) and let her know you'll be showing up so she can get a vague idea of how crowded it will be. See you there!
UPDATE: I just ran into two other NYC webcartoonists, Meredith Gran and someone else whose name and URL escapes me at the moment -- I was fording near-blizzard conditions and on my way to an Important Scheduled Appointment when they jumped out of the shadows and completely befuddled me. I apologize, Meredith and Other Person, for my befuddlement. Anyways, they asked me when the aforementioned meeting was, and I realized that a) I didn't know and b) I had failed to mention it on the site. It's at 7pm. There you go.
