Subscription Cancellation

I just saw in my PayPal transaction history that my subscription has been cancelled. What's up with that? It says "cancelled by buyer" but I certainly didn't do any such thing.

Is this some manner of automated thing (as my subscription will indeed run its course next month)?

Maybe you should search through the forums for the few instances where Phillip complains about PayPal users that forget to update PayPal when their registered credit card expires.

And post the number of your new credit card here, so I can make sure Phillip gets it right.

This has been a somewhat annoying ongoing problem for us. Most likely, your credit card has expired. Basically, you'll need to resubscribe manually once your subscription runs out, instead of using the handy automatic resub feature.

We've contacted PayPal about this problem, and if they ever respond to us via a human, we'll let you know what they say. I imagine it's in their best interests to fix this for everyone.

Kinda stomping all over my point in another thread (TM) but I've just run into the PayPal cancelled my subscription thing. Even though I have two still valid cards registered with them, including the default. I'm having a go at them from my end, but so far I've only got a "you'll need to talk to Goats about this". Nice. As far as I can make out, their programmers are crap and they're too dishonest to admit it's their fault.

Someone remind me to give Jon money come September, please.

I was a bit surprised when I saw the cancellation notice myself. It sometimes happens when a card expires; this time I couldn't say what it was.

If PayPal is being stupid about it just remember to re-up when your subscription runs out; there's really nothing we can do about it from our end.
