Er, I thought the premium subscription included ads-free Goats. How come I am seeing ads?

Do you have your ad settings set to turn them off?

In Response to jon (#28260):

I have visited the "edit info" page several times in the past few days (since the "new look" of Goats.com began) and have confirmed that they are set "off".

But i still see them in the top bar next to the Goats logo sometimes, not always. Usually this happens when i load the Forums page.

I do not see "Ads by Google" down the right-side-column, however; that feature appears unchanged this week.

Honestly i don't mind the advertisements-- i just thought i would mention it.

With autologin saved, when you connect to goats.com for the first time from a new browser instance, the banner ads appear, but not on subsequent page views.

You can still consciously register advertisements?

The ads by Google are a great source of amusement. There's always some Goats Milk Soap in there, often something about goat-breeding, and other assorted fun.

But that's nothing like an internet dating site I'm on (shut up). I mention something on there about baking bread, and also list various music I like, and there's almost inevitably an ad for bread recipes and an ad for one of the musicians when I log off.

And McGrue's comment makes me wonder how often I really do notice them. Truly frightening.

Punk Clothing and Alien Punk Clothing today. Whose fault is that?

I'm blaming Phillip. And, of course, now I'm perpetuating the problem.
