2004 Rocktastic Superawesome Club?
posted Wednesday, November 17, 2004 - 07:57 AM (#22706)
So, just wondering who's renewed their ultra-fanboy memberships and/or joined our sordid cult of personality. Also, what made y'all rejoin/sign up?

Personally, although making a trifecta of goats Super Premium was neat, the public look at the shirt really sealed the deal. It's all awesome and stuff, and it's the precise sort of humorous wankery that makes me a goats fan.

I figure that unless I become totally penniless and end up selling my body on the streets, or Jon blows up a country, I'll probably just keep renewing ad infinitum.

Mostly because I like the stickers.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't make a conscious decision to renew - it renewed automatically while I was away. Don't regret it one bit, especially given the ILOP preemie tee. I want it NOW!!!!

I became a premium member because I liked Patent Pending after reading the first chapter of it. And getting the discounts on stuff is nice.

I would have liked to have become a super-premium member, but would not have been able to make the deadline or been able to practically afford the upgrade. Which really sucks, because I really want the shirt.

Same here. I love the SPEY packs; plus I'm supporting Goats, which consumes entirely too much of my time.

Oh, and Jon, Best. Shirt. Ever. I can't wait for that thing to show up.

I have been a Premie for a little over a year. I was debating whether or not to cross over into Sooper-premie-ness, but that debate was cut short by the "leak" about the ILoP shirts.

Had to have one. Upgraded instantly.

It was guilt for me ... all this free entertainment thrown out to all and sundry, which I enjoy so very, very much.

BTW, does anybody else think that Super Premium should be renamed Rocktastic Superawesome? 'Cause that's got a Rowlandesque vibe that's really cool.

Absolutely, in proportion to amount you entertain me. But don't quit your day job.

Chin up, Barbie. If you really work your pretty little head, I'm sure you'll get a decent grade, and impress Ken with your dedication to learning. Now off to cheerleading practice, you scamp!

I've been following Goats since day 1 so the SPEY's are my way of supporting Jon + Phillip, besides all the other shirt and print purchases.

I'm not sure I understand my membership privileges correctly. As a premium member, I don't get SPEY packages, but I think I (and likewise you) get the opportunity to purchase the ILOP shirt when it's available. If this interpretation is correct, I will be very happy.

I meant I think I already do like it, hence the sobbing librarian, although my memory is crap and I suspect now that robonun is not a librarian, but that shouldn't have messed up the first bit of the statement.

Man I gotta be either more vague or less. My current place just confuses people.

Is it so difficult to let us buy the shirts? To maybe make up for the lack of Patent Pending or Ask the Animals. We paid the $20, so shouldn't we get the opportunity for more than just the ability to post in an elitist forum and discounts on clothes and what not.

I'm not really bitching, whining/whinging, pissing, moaning, complaining, or anything of that sort. I'm just voicing for my need to buy a super-awesome t-shirt.
