I'm all caught up on ATAs now; sorry about the delay. Please feel free to ask some fresh questions as I am running low.

I will attempt to make up for the delay with our 1500th strip, which will be triple the normal size and will be running on the 11th. I hope to see you all there. It will be a swell time!

Wheeeee! Arbitrary decimal multiples! If one hundred fiftieth anniversaries are sesquicentennials, then what are fifteen hundredth anniversaries called? Sesquimillennials?

It will be a swell time!

We'll have a Dabba-Doo Time, a Yabba-Doo Time, we'll have a Gay-Ol'-Tiiiiiiime!

I thought I'd put this in here, rather than start a new thread for it.

Granted I don't frequent the ATA section, and only visit once ever 6 to 8 weeks or so, but I just noticed that there is no longer an option to ask questions of Toothgnip. I doubt this is coincidental with Toothgnip's long absence from the strip.

What have you done with him?

I respectfully disagree. Just minutes after you posted your question, i visited the ATA page and saw Toothgnip's name on the drop-down menu. Should i ask him a question on your behalf? :-)

it's the devil hand sign. Hold your index and pinky fingers pointed up with your thumb holding your other two fingers down. It used to be a heavy metal rocker thing (maybe with a bit of a head bang ala Beavis and Butthead). Now, I guess it's kind of a sign of saying cool. Some people [wilwheaton.net] like to accompany it with saying "Rock!"

I think McGrue brought it to the awareness of Teledildonix. It was somebody around here, more clever than i am.

Perhaps it was somebody who can type my whole screen name. Those are rare folks. If the d-i-l-d-o or the n-i-x are too much effort after typing the T-e-l-e, maybe people could just start typing "K-e-v-i-n"... or whatever makes them more comfortable. sigh.

hey, hey, you're the one who picked an unwieldy screen-name. If Tele* really bugs you, I'm sure we can make an effort to type the whole thing, but why is it so frustrating? Zamphir hasn't complained when I shorten his handle to 'zamph' (yet, at least!), and albionsoft -> albion seems to be acceptable.

It's not like there are other Tele* around for you to be confused with. (On a related note, a 'teledildonique' is registered on the PA forums. Is that you? or a weird coincidence?)

I would like to respectfully withdraw my comment regarding ATA, on the grounds that I am a dumbass.

Yes, I just checked it, too, and his name was there.

But I do press the question about where he is within the strip. It's been quite some time [goats.com] since we last saw him.

But all in all, I think the use of a possible brand name for a retractable rubber penis is all too controversial for all us family-lovin' Goats fans. Or maybe our internal handle memory is limited to 8 bytes. Or maybe the word Tele has us distracted, and by the time the adverts come on, we've forgotten what we're talking about.

It doesn't seem unwieldy to me, but that's probably because i've typed it so many times in so many places over the years, and typing has always been one of my strengths.

Shortened forms of my names (real or otherwise) used to bug me-- but now they don't really frustrate me. I was just being a whiny prat.

I've never been to the Penny Arcade forums. I only read the comic and the front page of the website.

I like to use my spelling of "teledildonix" with the "x" because it seems to be more uncommon than the "correct" spelling.
