Oh, wait. That's offense to Mexicans and other Hispanics/Latinos...

Hey Jarhead!

Dang. That's offensive to Marines.

If any of y'all out there have a few years of experience with J2EE, particularly in a WebSphere environment, are interested in changing jobs, and are willing to do the following things
  1. Travel at least 90% of the time
  2. Mentor/Train other developers
  3. Work with (but not for!) me
Then send me an email. There might be a position available with the consulting company I work for.

I'd be even vaguer, but I'm not sure I could.

Or maybe this entire post is just offensive to everyone.

Not the first time, I'm sure.

Okay, okay, i realize that the products you're discussing are primarily IBM, maybe a little Sun... but seriously, it's not like you can totally escape the M$ contamination in that environment, is it? Or are you really truly blessedly free of the Borg/Gates nanoprobes? I thought only tiny home-users (like me) could dream of a system unsullied by the Evil Scourge. Have you ever worked in a 21st century business environment that was totally free from M$? If so, that's extremely rare.

Okay, this post proves you're way smarter than me. But I'm the only one here the US government trusts with four tanks. Or to put it another way: I am your tax dollars at work.

And apparently your tax dollars really want to work at reading Goats and surfing for porn.

No, not yet.

But all the servers we're building for the new production environment for the current client are RedHat Linux.

Anyone who used "M$" on the internet is, without bar, inconcievably juvenile. It's like a grown up version of singing "...Kindergarten babies..." in increasingly louder tones to hit home the point that your opposition is, in fact, a baby.

This goes for the recently emerging counter blow of "Lunix".

Jesus christ, these little memes get under my skin.

Might you please indicate any difference between your ways and my ways of using simple markings to convey extra meanings?

You just used "(Teledildonix)--" to indicate the decrement, adding a couple of dashes to a word for the sake of conveying extra connotations in a pseudo-code. You did this in response to my choice to put a dash vertically through an "S" to make a "$" (my trivial opinion)-- something quite comparable to your procedure. Apparently memes not only get under your skin, they get into your own personal expressions. I see little difference between the ones you and i just used. If my little memes bug you, are you then implying that your own construction bugs you also?

There is a difference between using psuedocode and using hackneyed kneejerk admonishments. The premium section has a large contingent of programmers, and proclaimations have been made here before in code-like forms, to express any number of concepts. That's why we call them programming languages.

Oh, both your choice in communication and mine were certainly valid; Many assumptions can be made about one who uses the dollar sign in a derogatory way, thereby communication has been made. However, the level of contempt in such a small statement is annoying. My statement, however, was not insulting the intelligence of the readers, nor even insulting you two in any great fashion... I only decremented once! ;)

So, to summarize, my issue is not with using sekrit intarweb humar memes, but in the use of the bottommost rung intended only to invoke bellicose moods. However, since I'm rather anti-censorship, filfre to continue using it. I just find it a rather poor form of displaying discontent.
