power and colour
posted Tuesday, March 09, 2004 - 07:27 PM (#14725)
The Members Only forum has been far too quite lately so I am going to take advantage of our exclusive powers to talk about our exclusive powers.

I know that it's pathetic but I felt somewhat proud to see the new shirt designs that we helped choose (though I'm still hoping for the killer robot shirt to show up some time in the future). With that in mind and because colour seems to matter when it comes to shirt selection I suggest a discussion about what colours you like your shirts to be.

Aside from the always acceptable white or black, anything in red or blue will do me nicely. I'm reluctant to wear most greens, yellows and pinks (though I can't really imagine that there is a pink goats shirt in the works). Which colours would you wear and which do you avoid like the plague?

I'll wear almost any colour but orange.

It always makes me feel like either a construction worker or an Oompa Loompa.

My favorite color for shirts is diarrhea brown. You don't see that around too often anymore, tho :(

I avoid green on every day except March 17. I tend to keep one green shirt around just for that day. This year, I don't think I have a green shirt in reserve... I'll have to remedy that. I have far too many black, gray, and white shirts. I like red, but it doesn't seem to like me. So, I'd say blues and browns are good for me.

Personally, i tend to prefer bright, cheerful colors. I'm even willing to wear garments that are a tad "loud": e.g., rainbow tie-dye, Hawaiian prints, busy jazzy festive thingies, etc.

However, i realize that most people have slightly more conservative taste than mine. That is to say, they actually have taste; whereas i just have silly, wacky ideas. So i'm willing to buy any of the products with more basic styles, such as black and white, or drab solids. I'm more inclined to by black and white if it has something fantastically surreal, such as the incomparable Crab Account Investigator on the Hotwired HoverDachshund. And i'm more likely to purchase a design with a hint of playful suggestiveness, such as the shirt which compels us to obey the piggy. And although i already have my "evil cock" from the SPEY, i'd willingly buy another similar item if it, too, conveyed a message about cock-- evil, good, neutral, or otherwise. ;-)

I adore dark purple and very particular shades of teal (especially dark teal) and cerulean (again, darker is better). I could be walking through a store with no intention of buying anything (say, using it to get into the mall), and if I see something of one of these colors out of the corner of my eye I will be inexorably drawn to it. My boyfriend had to pry a dark cerulean chenille throw out of my hands last night at K-Mart. These colors also happen to be ones I look really good in, which helps.

I really can't wear orange or most yellows, and don't like them as colors anyhow. Actually, my feelings about colors seem to be strongly correlated to how good they look on me - not sure if it's a causative relationship or not.

I own too many blue things. I like blue. and it looks good on me. however...I should be able to choose to wear soemthing not blue. I've been buying pink, red. and any color BUT blue lately. Color isn't really the deciding factor for me. It's the image on said tshirt makes or breaks it of course.

I've recently discovered green is a good colour for shirts. I now like green. And my small self centred universe is expanding because of this new green thing.

I'm all for blue, black, and potentially a ruddy reddish color. Ideally, however, someone will take a colorimeter, point it at a nipple, and figure out how to get nipple-colored dye. Then I'd prefer a nipple-colored shirt.

Well, there's a specific color of nipple I'd prefer, obviously. Sorta a deep red/pink. but the shade has to be derive directly from color data taken from the nipple I'm envisioning, otherwise the process would be bunk. Pah.

Yes, envisioning nipples is one of my favourite pastimes too. In fact, there should be more nipple exposure everywhere, so everyone can share in happy-nipple-envisioningness.

This is yet another request for forum improvements, Phillip. As well as avatar, location, post count, karma status and registered date, all users should have a current nipple status, so all other users can envision it. It goes without saying what status Lonely Goatherd should have.

Or is it that I keep my fliers piled?
