POLL: choose the next merch design
posted Tuesday, February 03, 2004 - 09:50 AM (#13805)
We're never really sure which of our designs is going to catch on and sell well, so we figure now that we have polls working in a rudimentary fashion, we'd enlist your help to choose which design to do next.

I've listed five designs below, one of which consists of two separate shirts (and printed with glow-in-the-dark ink). The black and white designs could potentially also be released on embroidered items like hoodies, messenger bags and caps at the same time as the t-shirts.

Please choose which design you would be most likely to buy. I can see where there might be a case where you like a design, but would not buy it. Do not vote for it if you would not buy it. If you wouldn't buy any of them, no need to vote.

We'll probably go with one of the more popular designs for our next shirt; unchosen designs will be held onto for potential release in the future.

Thanks!

POLL: Which of the following merch designs would you like to see next?

33% (10) Neil shirts and Bob t-shirts (sold separately), both glow-in-the-dark on black (also potentially for use on embroidered hoodies, hats, messenger bags and such)

16% (5) PMR Skull t-shirts, white on black (also potentially for use on embroidered hoodies, hats, messenger bags and such)

20% (6) Surly! (t-shirts and maybe bumper stickers)

23% (7) Killer Robot (t-shirts and bumper stickers)

6% (2) Cock Diet For Jesus (t-shirts and maybe bumper stickers)
30 people have voted in this poll. (This poll is not active.)

So difficult to choose... if I vote for one design, can I still buy two designs?

Yes. That's encouraged, actually.

Phillip, we should get multiple choice polls working at some point. That would be cool.

While I'm highly amused at the skull-fuck tee, I lack the willpower to actually be able to wear it in public; something like that is so much less effective in private.

I'd wear surly, though.

I usually go for truth in advertising, when possible. Hence, i proudly sport my "Evil" Cock T-shirt, and i voted for Neil and Bob shirts because i don't mind being considered somewhat "alien".

A cock-diet would be unthinkable. Unless, of course, it refers to a strict regimen of meals containing poultry.

I'm not sure what my Hotwired HoverDachshund is advertising about me; i've received compliments from fascinated onlookers, and i point to the URL, so i guess it's advertising something other than its wearer.

I'd love to wear the 'cock-diet for jesus' t-shirt ... but the background colour turns me off, I'm afraid. If it ever gets produced with a different background, I am SO there. In the interim, i'd probably get a bumper sticker.

I approve of Cock Diet and Neil and Bob. However, as only one choice was possible, I decided to give my love to Gamera.

Platonically, of course.

Where are the deviant duo these days... they've been MIA since Cod & Country, no?

The black and white designs could potentially also be released on embroidered items like hoodies, messenger bags and caps at the same time as the t-shirts.

One other embroidered item I would be interested in having a goats design on would be one of those Janet Jackson Rip-off Titty Gladiator Outfits. You could put Neil and Bob on each flap. Perhaps you could also add words to the back 'I'm on a cock dies for album sales'. Hell, anything to divert attention from my siblings would be great.

Do you think it will be possible to get Goats merchandies on one of these outfits in the near future?

I would happily buy and wear the killer robot and pirate monkey t-shirts. I chose the former just because I liked the colour better. I also like Neil and Bob, but I don't like the colour of the surly t-shirt and I'm not brave enough to wear the cock diet one out in public. However the poll turns out I think I know how I'm spending my birthday money this year.

For the record, nothing says getting older like profanity.

Step one: Buy a needle and thread.

If you're too broke to buy a needle and thread, you can try hanging out on the corner and asking passers-by for 'spange'.

I mean, the cock diet shirt has the bonus of making one look prudish while offending the religious-types. That gets bonus points right there. What does the skull-fucking have except raw obscenity?
