Has anyone seen the new The Complete Far Side [amazon.com] set? Oh wow. That is quite possibly the greatest thing ever created for a comic strip (aside from Goats Vol. 3 of course).
For those of you who prefer not to click that link, it's a collection of every single Far Side comic ever made, including 1100 that haven't appeared in a book before, and all of the ones that he did after the comic ended. It's 1250 pages, and has a foreword by Steve Martin. It also includes other stuff besides comics, like fan letters, complaints, etc. Hopefully there's a lot of stuff from "The Prehistory of The Far Side", and of course lots extra.
I'm just amazed by this thing. I saw it in a bookstore today, and the damn thing must weigh about 20 pounds. But then, it had better, for $135! They're also going to release a leather-bound edition for $750.
