does anyone else find the fact that Roy Horn was nearly mauled to death by one of their tigers hilarious? i think he got what he deserved. if you hit a 500 pound tiger in the face with a microphone, you should expect to be dragged off stage by your neck.

While I don't wish anything like this on anyone I do find a certain irony here. It just goes to show "If you play with fire your'e bound to get burnt".

Germans are funny.

Tigers are not.

Except stuffed tigers.

So the S and R show is funny then...

Are you really that stupid that you would believe this discussion is that serious? Read about the rest of the discussions before you post another idiodic(sic.) flamebait ranting sideliner comment, okay?.

Oh, and if you want to be serious about posting here, try not hiding behind the face of poop. It's a simple procedure, really.

There seems to be alot of this going around lately. I find it hard to beleive that any fans of the strip actually take much at all seriously, especially the forum conversations. I've noticed while meta moderating lately that there seems to be a rash of down modding going on for some pretty good posts as well.

Update: see unFalln post above for case in point.

It's an over-simplification to say that goats fans wouldn't take anything seriously. We tend to be thick-skinned (and to expect the same of others), but I don't seem to see any nihilists among us.

I take certain topics quite seriously (obviously). I still have a sense of humor about them, but I won't hesitate to make my serious opinions on those topics known.

LG is entitled to his opinion. I don't understand the reason any more than anyone else, but in my book, he's welcome to think we're all idiots for joking around on this topic. He did make two mistakes:

(-1 cowardly punk) - Failing to supply a name and face for the opinion reduces it from a potentially admirable stand against public opinion to childish heckling from the peanut gallery.

(-1 insubstantial) - Even when someone has really annoyed me, I try to keep the content/insult ratio a little higher. (Of course, once I get on a roll, I churn out a lot of verbage, which leaves room for many insults even with a good ratio...)
