Just saw the Blue Man Group perform here in St. Louis. It was an excellent show. Highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance. Get good seats.

That is all.

I too find their music entertaining, but in the spirit of this forum:

Are you crazy?! They're blue! They must suck!

If God meant for performers to be Blue, He wouldn't've killed Zhaan.

blue man group? they're sellouts, a corporate franchise performing simultaneously in 10 cities across the country - they suck!

I had an opportunity to see the Blue Man Group when I was in Vegas last Feb.

But I wasn't about to pay $90/head to see a bunch of makeup wearing freaks, unless it was Kiss.

Hmm....I've never seen Kiss in concert, but I've paid to see both Blue Man Group and Gwar at various points in time...and the Blue freaks were definitely the better of the two.

Well.
Among other things
  1. Gwar is an acquired taste
  2. Gwar are freaks wearing makeup, not makeup wearing freaks.
  3. I wouldn't pay $90 to see Kiss, either.

Or with having a functional avatar for more than a week, apparently.

Well, the last time (at least a month ago) that my avatar broke was because some yahoo at my colo moved my machine without telling anyone. Clicked the little power-off button, unplugged everything, and apparently threw it across the room or something.

So a few cards had to be reseated before it would power up again. And then it had to refsck everything a couple of times.

This time, my avatar is broken because I've switched from a rattletrap linux server to a brand new XServ, and haven't moved all my content yet.

Subtlety is a lost art in today's go-go world.
If you wanted to make a subtle joke by castigating me for throwing insults around while also insulting me, you should have actually insulted me. Calling me a "moron" is like calling you an "artist".

So, yes, I agree. Subtlety is a lost art.

The pluralising "passer-by" to "passers-by" rule?

"passer-by" is turned into "passers-by" because "by" is modifying "passer".

"Nut-boy" does not turn into "Nuts-boy" because "Nut" is modifying "boy".

Not British, but I know that it is correct. In fact, I know that most people here know that it is correct. However, I expected it to be mocked as it is different to the norm (at least here where most folks are American). Mocking things that are different to us is the highest form of wit and humour, isn't it? ;-)
