This [demon.co.uk] will kill the general populace's productivity faster than legalizing marijuana.

Man, I remember playing a game just like that on the old Atari 400/800 computers. Except you were a bat, and there were also bugs flying around that you had to eat, while avoiding the poison bugs. It totally ruled. I think it had the truly descriptive name, "Bats".

Now I'm going to have to find the disk and hook the old beast up again...

And to guarantee you don't get any work done while you're away from your desktop, I hear this game is also out for Palm devices.

So, what's your highest score so far? I think mine was 1264 before my husband came along and obliterated it with 3694.

I had a simpler version of this on my HP48G calculator back in high school. Of course, the graphics were simpler (the "ship" was a triangle and the game was called "Tunnel"), but essentially the same game. I wasted many good hours in my AP Calc class on that game.

One guy I know claims to have actually exited the tunnel. I always thought that the game continued, looping, getting faster and faster until the sides closed in faster than the button reaction time, let alone user-response time. I think he's full of it.

It came with my new cell phone, and i was hooked. I did look for it on my Palm, and there is a version called SFCave. Instal it, and whittle away the hours in all those boring meetings.

I don't know if anyone is enough of a slacker to watch this all the way through: telnet://towel.blinkenlights.nl/ [blinkenlights.nl]. After watching about fifteen minutes of it, I wonder just how far it goes, and what sort of meds the author is on now?

(Yes, this probably belongs in its own thread, but I've not enough karma.)

Can't tell if this is the same one or not (telnet is being refused at the moment) but I came across a web site [asciimation.co.nz] with the same/similar animation on it. Also has links to the Death of JarJar and the jet powered beer cooler.
