I don't think so. The gene sequence fo which you speak is found solely on the Y chromosome (since your tribe affiliation is passed down along the paternal line.) The article say that it was a study of Israeli Jews, not Jewish Israeli Males, so I think it's probably a different sequence. On a related note, all Levites, for that matter, also have similar Y chromosomes, becdause it is another trait that is passed down along the father's line. In theory all of these Y chromosomes are close to the Y chromosome of Abraham himself, but over thousands of years mutations tend to occur, which is why all of us levites don't nesecarily have identical Y chromosomes, or ALL of the cohenim, for that matter.
