What does Labor day mean to you?

I cut this out from my local newspaper, which happens to be written at a sixth grade reading level. I think you can see why. See which answer you find the funniest!

So, I had to think for awhile before responding to this one. Not because the picture was insightful, funny, or even mildly amusing - but because the link is so badly broken, it's not even funny.

And therein lies the (probably should have been kept internal) debate. It could be a clever ruse, to draw out a hastily written flame, just to respond with something possessing in far more sophistication. Or, it/her/him could just be a poopy head.

Incarnadine, try reposting your link as an HTML link [cnet.com] ( <-- like this one), so we can click on it. The forums take long strings of text like yours and break them up so people don't post stupidity and try to break the forum formatting. Posting as an HTML link is the best way to make sure that people can see your photo.

As an aside, I tried to reconstruct the link, and was unable to see the file. Are you sure it's on your server?

Did you make the album public? Because I tried to get to it through Yahoo and it said that the album was empty.

I didn't realize you *had* to make yahoo albums public, and I think you have to pay to do that, so screw them. If I were going to pay for any web services, it would be Goats. Try this link, instead:

Sheesh.

the picture [mybuddyinfo.com]

next time someone posts a link without actually linking to it, especially after they've been instructed how to do it, I'm going to mod them down -1, Stupid.

If I could down-mod the folks in the photo the same way, I'd be a happy man.

uhhh your town. Um, lots of picturesque high voltage towers sweeping majestically past the primary schools are there?
I suppose all the houses must be mighty purty, having had a paint manufacturer in town all these years has kept up a good supply and prices down...
What, your drivers honor freedom because your town has no emissions laws?

Labor day? Oddly enough labor day means just the opposite of what its name implies. It is a day in which I perform no labor whatsoever. Strange.

but it's a lazy day to celebrate the laziness of your current work week... oh I see what you mean.

maybe if they called it "lots of people dancing, like monkeys that don't have to work so much, celebrating the time when someone decided we should be more like those lazy (but attractive) monkeys day" it'd make more sense.
