I didn't know they gave PhDs for that. I'm clearly in the wrong field.

Anyway, congrats, Dr. Tynic.

I've barely kept up with my undergrad work in that field lately...

Congrats!

I've done fuckall. Had the day off, and the highlight so far is the rerun of Mythbusters currently on.

Shalom, everybody!

Good news: Caesar just invented the Caesarian section!

Congratulations and all, on both the degree and the drunkening.

yay for you.

I starting drawing with charcoal, bought a piano keyboard to continue with that, bought new reeds for my saxophone and got my linux server running Mythtv so i don't have to buy a tivo. And I've been scoping out run-down buildings in the area and marking them on Google Earth so I can go back to photograph them when the weather is how I want.

Yay, feeling productive.

That is so awesome, now i know a real Doctor Nic! "Who knew 'inflammable' means 'flammable'?!?" I suggest that you now preface all future conversations with, "Hey, everybody!..."

Congratulations. You are now officially kerjillions of times more erudite than i.

I have over a hundred hours of old analog hi-fi tapes which i haven't finished ripping into MP3 format onto my hard drives, so i'm working on that gradually. I hope to finish by summertime. Then i have many shelves of videocassettes which i'd like to digitize via my new Miglia... but i sort of feel like they might outlive me, and that project may never be completely finished. I'm a slacker, and ever-so-slightly pessimistic.
