Im not exactly sure if this is the idea of the 'Ring of Fire' but I guess I'll try. I like Rock, & grunge music, like Nirvana. You?

a lot of stuff

techno (orbital, fatboy slim, the chemical brothers, daft punk, the orb, the avalanches, air. i DO NOT like IDM, cause its stupid and undanceable), rock (RATM, weezer), "emo" (dashboard confessional, saves the day, the get up kids, jimmy eat world, weezer), and what usta be called "alternative" back in the day (radiohead, weezer)

my fave band of all time is prolly radiohead

in the words of hooper from "Chasing Amy":
"Word is Born"

I like a bit of everything, save country music and yodeling contests, but my mp3 list is filled with rock and metal. in the words of Indie Rock Pete, "I'm a rocker. I rock out."

In Response to swizzard (#378):

I myself like most metal, rock, punk and a bit of indie. However, I feel that a lot of the best music is the stuff that is hard to pin down to a specific genre (like Flaming lips or old FNM)

with the exception of a few newer bands (FIF, Ghoti Hook, White Stripe, Offspring, Cake, Ben Folds, and The Pietasters) most of whom are fairly non mainstream, I think the best music is classic rock. From the Beatles to the break up of Led Zeppelin was the greatest era of rock music ever.

Well, I guess I'm a Punk Rock Poser, so much so that a band wrote a song about it. But beyond that I do spend alot of time hanging around in my local DC Ska/Punk scene, the same one that produced the previously mentioned Pietasters. My favortie band, however, would have to be They Might Be Giants.

Industrial (post-Industrial/EBM if you want to be pissy about it), and some darkwave. Some of my favorites - :wumpscut:, velvet acid christ, skinny puppy, laeather strip, project pitchfork, x marks the pedwalk, wolfshiem, clan of xymox, hocico.

And random 80's bands are neat too - Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys are keen.

Here, this should make it ring-of-fire appropriate: You suck, nya.

oh god. the one question that i can never manage to clearly and precisely answer.

i'm a big fan of classic rock, such as jimi hendrix, pink floyd, etc. also, janis joplin, bob marley and bob dylan are musts for my music collection. early nineties rock is always good, mainly nirvana, r.e.m. and smashing pumpkins.

i also love indie rock, such as the whitestripes, something corporate, and other about-to-make-it-big bands. go go go! i like punk, but only in mild amounts. my tastes go more towards emo.

girly music is good.. and when i say girly, i'm not talking britney spears. i'm talking ani difranco, liz phair, courtney love (on occasion) and other chicks who know how to rock out hard.

woot woot.

I alternate between whiny, crybaby emo and various forms of punk. And Weezer! Weezer is fun!
