So...we already knew that Moby [brooklynvegan.com] reads Goats. But that guy [blogspot.com] from Oklahoma who killed and was going to eat [cnn.com] a 10 year-old girl? Seems he's a fan [blogspot.com] too.

I seriously shouldn't read things like that when I'm a strange mood to begin with.

Like, I think the disturbing thing is how he comes across as the typical needy anxious depressed loser that I seem to know loads of.

Or at least, you know people that you think are needy, anxious, depressed losers.

It's probably actually just a bad case of transference.

All your friends are actually happy and successful.

Anybody, even Z*, can express a liking for something or someone, but that does not imply reciprocal admiration.

If Kevin is found guilty then I hope he is given the maximum sentence for his crime and I assume that is death. I don’t adhere to the precept of capital punishment as a deterrent, because it blatantly is not. What I do believe is that anyone callous enough to commit the crimes alleged does not merit the least sympathy from the community at large as they have renounced their place in society with their actions.

Or were you programming in RPN? I mean, I know you must use Hungarian notation, but there's no reason to go to extremes.

I think the point that he was getting at was that people like that should be removed from society by their death, not that they deserve to be punished in a horrific manner. I think that torturing criminals, even violent criminals, is morally wrong and essentially tantamount to perpetrating and condoning the same kind of thing in society that he has done. Torturing this guy would do no-one any benefit, not even the family of that poor girl. For that matter I am not so sure that killing him would either...
