We are a spread about bunch. But i think it would be nice if small enclaves could form for the eradication (or thinning out) of certain hops/barley drinks. Perhaps in establishments oft frowned upon by more upstanding citizens of our many villages... what say you all?

Besides, after actually showing up to mkinyon's office the other day and having him be a rather nice guy, i'd like to see what happens with everyone else.

POLL: Would you meet with other denizens of this portal for a bit of imbibing and revelry?

82% (19) Yay

8% (2) Nay

8% (2) I eats me salami alone.
23 people have voted in this poll. (This poll is not active.)

Gary and I have a floating Pub Night about every four months.

This time it was an actual Pub Night, at the Peculiar.

It's where I did that interview with Dale Beran.

I need to find some open source/free sound editing so I can properly extract his "Ohhhh, my buuuuurrrrgggggggeerrr" sound bite from the mp3 recording of the interview.

I've had good luck with Audacity [sourceforge.net] for my sound editing.

If you'd like a bit of volunteer help, i can offer my services... and by "services" i mean "weekend."

Eiuuh.

Second of all, it's an 18 minute mp3, it should take less than twenty minutes to extract the ten second sound byte.

Who else here is based in Greater Bostonia, that fine Puritan city on a hill (and anlots of landfill)? And what would be a suitable pub here? I'm thinking of the Other Side, perhaps...

That's a good idea.

If anyone is in the Greater Pittsburgh Area (as opposed to the crappier Pittsburgh Area) I'd be game for it. I also wouldn't mind another trip to the Church Brew Works on 7th.
