Do any of you listen to podcasts? Are any of you podcasters? Do you have a favorite or favorites? I've only just discovered this whole technology (I knew it existed, but I'd never delved until this week), and I'm looking for recommendations. Thus far, I'm really enjoying The Word Nerds [thewordnerds.org], but I'm looking for others.

I myself prefer Lewis Blacks' Science Friday to NPR's. It's much more edgy.

"Human Cloning? Human Cloning?!??! No, f-f-fuck cloning! Th-th-ere's already t-t-too fucking many of these IDIOTS to begin with"*

is what I imagine Lewis Black's Science Friday might sound like.

* And don't act like you don't know what I'm doing with the stutters. He does it all the time, for comedic effect. Why it always works I'll never know.

I sometimes listen to some of the podcasts of the radio programs produced by KCRW [kcrw.org] the LA NPR affiliate. They even have some of their music programs available now after copyleft wrangling.

You forgot:

(Hushed voice) "Of course there's one place where we can put all these idiots...STARBUCKS!"

I too find the stutter, like he can't quite get the words out because he's so mad, and the finger pointing funny.

I don't really get it. My colleagues are all about it though. But I've never been a person much for radio, either.
