I'm too bored and lazy to fairly distribute my mod points amongst the deserving. Plus I've been getting way too many of them lately. So here is a chance for lurkers, newbies and the generally underappreciated* to gain some karma while entertaining us. And by us, I mean me. Get to it! Be clever, ingenious, funny or just more pathetic than anyone else.

(I am far more likely to give points to people who wittily combine Zamphir's name with a disgusting bodily function, just FYI).

*being brilliant people, you will no doubt realise that this necessitates you have at least one post in threads other than this one. I would advise you to view this as an opportunity, rather than some insurmountable barrier which can be neither sur'ed nor mounted.

I have also recently been in this situation a number of times, so I too will probably be able to hand out mod points in the near future.

I would suggest however, that those wishing to revisit their supervilliany start fishing for downmods where possible.

Do those of you who mod ever mod locked discussions? I can't find anything in the FAQ [goats.com] regarding whether it is disallowed or not. And I refresh and/or post too often to be able to answer the question experimentally.

I ask because there is a certain departed individual [goats.com] from before my time whose downmodded old posts have been showing up for metamoderation with some regularity. Is that just a semirandom feature of metamoderation, or have mod gods recently been revisiting his contributions? It got my attention because his current karma title seems much lower than it was a few weeks ago when I was sampling the forum archives. However, they say the memory is the first to, uh ... do something.

I'm not suggesting there is a conspiracy to get him down to Moron status. Nope, no secret cabals or conspiracies here, none at all.

Oh, and may I say: hooray for Supervillainy! I just reached this kilometerstone today. I'll have to do something to celebrate. Something involving beer.

So...

Who wants these down-mods?

If someone can buy me a goats t-shirt, I will give you all 5 of my mod points. (upon request, I might also make them all positive!)

I've modded locked discussions before, but none older than three months or so. Usually it's because I blew them off when they were active.

If you mean that the source wasn't very literary, I'm inclined to agree. Actually, I'm just inclined. I don't feel like sitting up right now.

What is your clearance, Citizen?

Ultraviolet, Friend Computer. I am wearing this infrared uniform in an attempt to infiltrate the Goats Secret Society. Not that there are any secret societies in Alpha Complex

No. I meant that I see no literary reference.

Oh, very well. But I'm going to change the terms a bit: these are other people's posts, so if you're having a bad day, please don't downmod them. You'll probably have better ideas for score categories.

Naelok is doing well for a newbie. Here is N being Pathetic [goats.com].

Llamarama is someone I'd like to see get to supervillainy soon. Here L is being Compelling [goats.com] and here Intriguing [goats.com].

Here is Robonun, whom I'd like to see citrusy, being Pathetic [goats.com].

Here is grjohnston being Pathetic [goats.com].
