Contest: Mad Scientist
posted Monday, November 14, 2005 - 05:34 PM (#30265)
This is a radically unofficial contest sponsored by me. Jon & Phillip will deny all involvement with it, and may create fake users merely to enter.

The Contest:
Here we see a Mad Scientist, with a newly completed Secret Formula. Please utilize the graphic/photo editor of your choice to rework, enhance, or otherwise mangle this soothing restful image to produce an image that shows the Mad Scientist after the Secret Formula has been consumed. As is typical in these things, the only basic rule is “Final image must contain at least some measurable part of the original image”. Also, works that are apparently too derivative of other works may be disqualified at the discretion of the judges.

Post your final images here, or if you do not have a reliable image host or are not allowed to post images, contact me and arrangements will be made.
[jaral.org]
[jaral.org]

Eligibility:
This contest is also only open to registered members. Lonely Goatherds are warned that they have only themselves to blame for the poop in their head. But do remember that registration is free, and fun!

The Prize:
The winner of this contest will win an item of their choice from the Goats store valued at $25 or less including shipping (with a little slack to cover international delivery if needed). No guarantees that the prize will ship in time to be received by Christmas.

The Deadline:
You must submit your entry by 12:00 am (Midnight) Thursday December 1st, 2005.
All deadlines are Goats Standard Time.

The Judging:
There is no co-judge for this contest, as I assume that everyone wants to get a shot in. Consequently, the winner will be determined by me solely on caprice, whim, and how far the image pegs my laugh-o-meter.

(P.S. - the label on the tie claims that it is made of "High class polyester".)

Thanks. I'm new to the photo-manipulation game, so I was hoping they weren't too amatuerish.

I strongly considered seeing if I could merge this [timmythearmadillo.com] or this [timmythearmadillo.com] into the photo, but I figured it would be unfair to you.

I have two more ideas right now. One ought to be pretty easy, the other one a nightmare; if I can pull it off, it'll be the definite statement on Zammy's true nature. Dang, said too much.

So what exactly is that on the wall behind you to the viewer's right? Mold?

I plan to enter after I solve the mysteries of GIMP. Which may be some time from the look of it.
