Okay, this [notwithoutmyhandbag.com] is a world-class (in my opinion) example of snarking.

Wossname at websnark needs to take some notes - It's all well and good to wax eloquent and poetical about all the fine points of a comic. But that sure isn't SNARKING when you do.

Quoth:
I am not pregnant yet but thinking about names...I just thought of the name Lourdes Solange. This baby will be 75% latina and 15% european :)

...and 10% polyester.

That is pure comedy. I love it.

A friend of mine from high school named his kid "Lily Maya." They only ever call the kid by both names. However, when she gets to school, the kids there aren't going to bother with the middle name. She'll just be Lily... with the last name "White."

Lily White. Poor kid.

That really is genius.

I had no idea that people spent so much time picking out such horrible names. And the snark factor is through the roof!

Toolio DeSac. Boy, can't think of any way that kid'll get picked on. That's one taunt-proof name there!

This was my personal favorite:

Quote:
Lucida Grande Zenobia for a girl (plus you can use Zoe, Bea or Zen as nn) & Japheth for a boy (jay fit).

The Mocha Lucida Grande Zenobia - now available at Starbucks.

Helpful reader codeman38 points out little Lucy - oh, I'm sorry, is the most obvious nickname too common? - OK, little Rande is also the default font for Mac OSX. You can download her, as perverted as that sounds, here.

Oh, how boring my family seems by contrast.

I mean, our idea of a weird name is 'Ryan' when attached to girls. As a middle name, no less - both my little sister and my (female) cousin Rebecca are stuck with it. Then again, so are my uncle and grandfather.

By comparison, I went to high school with four (related, of course) kids named Trudy, Tracy, Tom, and Tanya. As if that wasn't bad enough, their parents had the gall to name the dog Trixie. My life is a bastion of normalcy.

What is wrong with these people! I used to get mad about being named Jennifer because it's so common, but now I'm just thankful that my parents weren't as stupid or creatively starved that they had to take it out on their children.

My French teacher in highschool told us that when she was a student teacher she knew a little boy named Al Pacino, and that was his first name.

Why!? Why would parents torture their children like that?
