The under 20 crowd
posted Friday, September 17, 2004 - 06:06 PM (#20065)
This is the thread where people who have posted less than 20 posts can say things.

Just like all the rest of the threads, but this one is special.

Is this a "safe haven" of sorts, or have you taken it upon yourself to decide that "under 20s" can't post anywhere else?

Things are .... sloooooooowwww......

I've given up on flaming newbies, so, yeah, this is a safe haven. And, like I said, this is just like every other thread. So, under 20s can post anywhere, I mean duh!

Plus, I'm bored with most of the rest of you.

I'm going to take license to post by virtue of the fact that, although I have more than 20 posts, I am under 20.

Not for very much longer, either - I'm taking advantage of it while I can.

Besides, Dynedain doesn't need another thread. This can be my thread.

If by "T*", you mean "Teledildonix", then my response is: i am not lost. I merely have nothing of value to contribute. There is no reason for me to keep imposing my opinions in people's conversations unless i have something worth saying. Maybe i'll have an original idea or useful perspective in some future context, then you'll hear from me again. Otherwise, i'm trying to avoid bothering anybody.

I just tried my best to be honest, tactful, and sensible. You seem to think that this is "playing the martyr". You reinforce my belief that my comments are unwelcome or misinterpreted, and result only in some people's impression that i'm annoying and unproductive, no matter how sincere and simple i thought i was being. I'm not "playing" anything. I've been trying to behave in a way which would be less offensive than my previous demeanor. It appears that you've already made up your mind about what i feel, and why i say or think the things i do. You are not a mind-reader, and your presumption of my thoughts is flawed. This indicates to me that my previous tactic of remaining silent was a better choice, as there is apparently little hope that even the most inoffensive intention on my part will be seen as such.

Isn't a forum for people who post under 20 times that is visited by none of said people kinda like sex chat rooms for women? Inasmuch as none of the target audience participates due to the overabundance of the non-invited hordes?

NO.

Nothing regarding your positions and arguments contribute to what I had just said. Yur stance of "People think my comments are unproductive [because they don't agree with me] and so I'm not posting"* is what prompted me to say you are playing the martyr.

*This comment obviously paraphrased.

Oh, and it appears that I'm actually using the thread for its stated aim. Doesn't that break some sort of rule?

See, that's exactly why you people SHOULD post more. We need more distractions.

But, really, it's a flamewar between two "oldies". So this is still a happy fun newbie friendly thread.

And it's not really a flamewar, or even a nascent one. It's just a couple of geeks being pissy.

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
