To be the king of tech
one must have many things
One of which is to be online
yet hear when the phone rings
With no cable
this is a task of which I was not able
So I moved and got ADSL
ahh hell.
Now I can hear the family call
they'll hear me type through it all.
hmmmm well in other less fancy ways, I finally got my adsl and wireless all talking this evening, I am about half a bottle of scotch and a couple of coopers stout longnecks down yet it works, I type this from a machine with no cables at all (although the power is only an inch away so i guess it is kind of pointless.
I have been wrestling with one of the greatest peeves known to tech kind. Trying to set up and test a connection when the supplier is dropping out constantly, I finally got upset with my stupidity and called tech support only to hear that they are dropping and trying to fix it. So I wasn't stupid, merely distrusting of my ability.
Is this the all time worst thing? I think so at the moment but would be happy to hear other peoples opinions of the worst tech situation, well except ~z - his will be long and argumentative ;)
Speaking of which, what the hell happened to project monkey anyhow? I sent off the card and then nothing...
One thing I like about Sheaf, well 2 things, old guys drink it at 10 in the morning in those pubs you wander past that look like they are still in the second world war and also it comes in 800 ml bottles (as opposed to 750ml), unadvertised. That's pretty cool. but as I said I have been drinking cheap blended scotch and coopers overpriced stout, damn bottleshops selling all their Southwark before I get there, man I hate that.
But now I am wireless and intent on testing the range, I may be able to post here from the bottleshop. Then I can tell you guys what they are selling (oh at another one there is DAB 6 pack for $16, pretty mediocre but you get a 1 litre glass for free and free is my favorite flavour, my wireless won't reach there though, it's like 10 km away)
